Ray McGroarty is Director, Industry Solutions and Market Development, for Polycom EMEA where he is responsible for ensuring that the benefits of Polycom's solutions and those of its strategic and service provider partners are well understood by all market stakeholders, particularly as they apply to the wide variety of enterprise applications available. McGroarty is also responsible for driving the global market requirements back into Polycom.
With more than 20 years in the UC&C industry, McGroarty has a deep understanding of the technology and the dynamics of the market. Previous roles have included positions in engineering development, engineering management, product management and marketing management.
Prior to Polycom, McGroarty was Design Group Leader at Motorola, responsible for desktop video applications. Previously, McGroarty held a number of positions within the industry with a focus on CAE, data communications and voice coding technologies.
McGroarty is based at Polycom’s offices in Slough and London in the UK and holds a B.Eng (Hons) from Dublin City University and an MBA with Distinction from Warwick Business School
