While his banking background is in product, marketing and PR, he is passionate about helping banks manage their greatest strategic resource; FDIC and NCUA-insured deposits. Prior to joining Nomis, he was the Senior Vice President of Consumer and Retail Deposits for Zions Bancorporation.

Chris Manderfield is Executive Vice President and Head of Product Management for Key’s Consumer Bank. In this role, Chris is responsible for the strategic direction and profitable management of Key’s Consumer Lending, Deposit and Dealer Finance businesses, in addition to fee income management and relationship household growth. Previously, Chris was the Head of Deposit Product and Pricing Strategy for KeyBank's Retail, Business Banking and Private Banking lines of business, managing pricing for approximately $70B in deposits and is responsible for the portfolio strategy and management of the MMDA, Savings, and CD/IRA product set. Chris previously served in additional leadership roles within Finance, acting as the Chief Financial Officer for the Consumer & Business Banking Segment and Head of Real Strategy & Finance within the Corporate Real Estate Solutions team.

Matthew Smith currently serves as the Segment Executive, Head of Direct Banking and Chief Marketing Officer for Sterling National Bank. In his current role, Matthew is responsible for all direct to consumer and direct to business client acquisition channels, Banking as a Service strategic partnerships, and all areas of marketing across the company. Previously, Matthew was the Chief Product & Marketing Strategy Officer where he oversaw all areas of product strategy and marketing including consumer and corporate deposits, treasury management, and consumer lending products. Matthew also managed the launch of Sterling’s first direct to consumer banking channel under the name of BrioDirect and took in ~$500MM in consumer deposits within the first 5 months of being in market.
